Open source and licensing¶
Kionga is open source under the MIT License. Its source code, deployment definitions, Python SDK and documentation are separate repositories in the kiongahq organization on GitHub.
License¶
The MIT License lets you use, copy, modify and distribute Kionga, including
commercially, provided you keep the copyright and permission notice. Each
repository contains the authoritative text in its LICENCE file.
Third-party software that Kionga runs or connects to, such as container images, libraries, language models and datasets, keeps its own license and terms. The Kionga license does not replace them.
Contribute¶
Each repository has its own issue tracker and release cycle. To find the repository that owns a change, see the component map in the engineering handbook. To improve this documentation, follow the documentation contribution guide.
Before you serve users¶
Open source does not make an installation production ready by itself. Choose a deployment from Deploy and operate, configure identity and secrets, and complete the production readiness checklist.
